Just wanted to see if anyone else in KGB is a regular MMORPG player. If so what are you currently playing if any and what are you looking at next to play? I have played the following: DAOC, EQ 1 and 2, WOW, LOTRO, Warhammer, AION, etc. I have taking a break on the MMORPG scene but plan to play the next Star Wars MMO Knights of the old Republic. Who knows, if enough of us are interested we might be able to apply for BETA guild.

I'm a huge MMO fan. I never played EQ, but Star Wars Galaxies (Pre-NGE and Pre-CU) started it for me. After that, I played Planetside, WOW, City of Heroes/Villains and a few others. Looking forward to see how well APB does because the idea behind it seems really cool. I just hope things turn out well. If not, then there's still Star Wars: The Old Republic. I'm 100% certain that I'll be playing that one. Edited Sun Jun 13 2010, 06:04PM

Guild Wars, Dungeon's and Dragons Unlimited, and Warhammer Online are the only ones I've played for any length of time. WAR was the only pay2play one. I've played demos of others and liked them, but I haven't found any that are worth $15 a month. After experiencing a huge cheat in WAR where the enemy were able to spawn in our protected areas and the sentries wouldn't attack them, I lost a bit of faith in getting quality protection from a pay2play. Still, Warhammer's graphics were awesome. It's got an unlimited play now for free, but the level is topped off at 10. I won't go back to it, but for those who want to try it, it's nice fun. I know Fulcrum and his kids played WAR with us for a bit, but that was about the time I had to quit due to money constraints. I was going to try the new Star Trek Online, but I didn't like how they made it. I wonder if Star War's new one will be good. The old one was interesting. I liked the unlimited movement across an entire planet, but the missions were pretty blah at times. There's got to be more to a game then just simple missions. Ah well. |

I played the beta and it was decent but not all that great. Space combat was cool, ground combat was probably the worse thing ever. It was clunky and just down right boring. Everyone who I talked to said it was going to be totally different when the game officially released and I fell for it. Bought the game and realized it was still crap. I'll never do that again. |

I played guildwars and WoW. WoW being my favorite but I did have some good times in guildwars. I have times where I play WoW for 1-2 months at a time. I quit when I got BC2 a couple months ago. I'll probably start playing it again when the new xpac and graphics engine come out later this year or sooner depending how long BC2 keeps me going. I play with a group of new yorkers who have the best slang, hilarious to listen to on vent. Edited Sun Jun 13 2010, 08:06PM

I played EQ1 EQ2 WoW Warhammer LOTRO AION EVE Guild Wars COH/V SWG. Waiting on the next big thing to fail. Not currently playing anything, don't have time. I sold my WoW account for a good bit of cash. Both my rogues were 80 with decked out shit. Now, I sold my account before 3.2 but my PVE rogue had full Tiers from 4-8.5(started playing in BC) and my PVP rogue had Merciless - Furious gladiator gear. I miss the theory crafting, and number crunching that was required of rogues. I also miss 1 shotting people with my PVE rogue... 0 resistance, but last I had the account she had 4600 AP and 45% crit as Hunger for Blood Mutilate spec. I used to just dick around and bring my pve rogue into the arena with shit teams to be the ultimate glass cannon, combined with an ice mage's shatter combo we could burst bear druids to nothing in a second. Ahhhhhh fun times. Edited Mon Jun 14 2010, 04:11AM |

I've played Everquest, Asheron's Call, Asheron's Call2, DAOC, Shadowblade, Ultima Online, Age of Conan. I currently play Eve Online, and I've never touched WoW... The new Star Wars MMO from Bioware looks sweet. But the movies have so utterly raped the universe that I'm a little sick of the whole thing. |

WoW isn't what it use to be, a good thing for casual people, bad thing for the hardcore guys. its so quick and easy to level up now, and getting gear is fairly easy. the PVP aspect I never enjoyed, when I want to play against other people I leave FPS games for that desire. I played WoW strictly for PVE.
