When the beta was first offered back on the 17th I think, I signed in with my acct on EA's MoH website and went through the process of entering the beta only to quickly realize that I didn't have a Red Dead Redemption key. Still, I just clicked on the xxx default they had there just for fecks sake. I'm not sure how it happened, but they emailed me a redemption key (like some 2 weeks later) to sign up with the Medal of Honor beta. So, I'm downloading it now and have my beta key. Maybe it was just my interest early in the game or that they see I've participated in stuff like this before. Dunno. But I'll be a happy camper this weekend. I hope some of you are in the beta as well. The download is only 736Mb, though I bet it's got an installer like BC2 does to bring in larger files. |

Quick review: It plays like CoD4. There's like a team deathmatch mode that plays exactly like Modern Warfare. You keep spawning on different sides of the map around your teamates while trying to kill more of the enemy. meh. And then there's the mission mode that is like the Rush mode in BC2. The action is very fast and the dying happens all too quickly. The attacking team gets a piece of armor. The enemy cannot take the armor, but they can destroy it quickly enough. In my only good round, I was able to hide behind enemy lines while playing defender on mission mode and kill the enemy from behind. Went 17-2 that way. The spawning hasn't improved over any other game of CoD or Battlefield. There's no time protection from spawning and being able to die. And the spawn points can be learned. Thus, hide and shoot the enemy as they spawn. The game feels like it's playing somewhere in between hardcore and softcore as far as weapon damage. Again, this is just a quick review as I've only played minimally. |
