impcfast wrote ... yellowman and I played it last night, we're the only ones that have it so far, so we could use a 3rd :). it reminds me of left4dead a little, theres certain areas you get to on the map that have amo, and a self health pack that you can use on your self or give it to another player, you can also drop weapons for other players as well. theres several routes you can take on maps, you can hit tab and draw on the mini map to show other players which way to go, same thing guildwars has pretty much. theres about 6 maps, each has about 5 missions to it. each level you gain you unlock a new item, sometimes its a hand weapon, other times its an item like a motion trip mine. That actually looks a little fun. I might d/l it this weekend. Btw, you're link above isn't clicking through properly for some reason. I had to copy/paste. I'll try posting it here and see if it works. [-link-] theres teamwork to it for sure, you need a tech to hack pass coded doors, you need medics to drop health stations, medics can also drop amo stations however they can only have amo or health, so you wont see a medic with both. i haven't played the other two classes to know what their ability's are. theres also items on the map that someone has to pickup and use, the two I remember so far are a fire extinguisher and a welding gun, the fire extinguisher is for putting out fires that are in the path on the map, the welding gun for welding doors to keep aliens out of while a tech typically hacks another door. game does have some depth to it being that its free. the game is catching on well, I expect to see a lot of custom maps coming out. I notice the group of people I played TF2 with heavily last year are enjoying it a lot, 85 already downloaded it. Edited Tue Jul 20 2010, 07:56PM |

I want to add a little after playing a few rounds with Series, Jacket, and Yellow... For a game that's free, this game is a literal steal. Graphics are well done, voice acting is pretty good, and the atmosphere is a total rip of Aliens. Even the menu screen music is reminiscent of the motion detector from Aliens. I really hope to hear the following quotes. "They only come out at night mostly...mostly " "Well why don't you put her in charge!" "I say Nuke it from Orbit, it's the only way to be sure" - I think heard something along those lines already. "How do I get out of this chicken shit outfit" Shit ton of unlocks makes this game have some good replay value too. Here's hoping for some healthy mods. Edited Fri Jul 23 2010, 04:24AM |
