Oh lord, there's some pretty strong rumors that Infinity Ward is creating an mmo for the Call of Duty series. [-link-] I'm curious. How many here would actually be interested in such a game? |

I have been waiting forever for a mmo based on military combat! I had an idea for one a few years ago but that's all it was...an idea. This is exciting to me. |

Although futuristic, it was and still is an awesome MMO FPS. I used to be in a clan that did some crazy stuff. Had like 30 people on TS almost all the time and all working together. Ahhh.....good times. I figure your talking about a more modern kind of military though so I'm right there with ya. It'll be interesting to see how this little project of there's comes along. I'm not surprised. I've said in the past I think traditional fps games will fade away for PC, and MMO subscription games will become the norm. MMO=no piracy big money to be made if they take blizzard's WoW approach. MMO games won't work well on consoles unless they add kb/mouse. so PC gamers won't get crappy console ports. honestl y I'd love a FPS MMO, but there would have to be a lot of thought put in to make it not suck. activision will probably pull some of the WoW developers over to give ideas. I kinda figured it'd do well. It won't ever replace fps for me, but it might be interesting. Of course, it would have to be mind blowing for me to put out $15 a month to play it. | ||
