There's a rather nice benchmark website with comparison charts for all the cpu's that have come out for the last several years. It's always updated with the latest cpus so that you can get a rather decent idea of where a cpu you'd like to purchase measures up. There's even charts for video cards from many years ago to todays latest and greatest. It's a very informational page when you are looking to purchase the best you can afford and want to get the best bang for you buck. [-link-] That links directly to the latest chart with the better cpus. You can navigate from that page to the video cards or whatever else you'd like to peruse. I was surprised to find that my video card is very high on the list gpu list (Radeon 4850 1Gb). It's beats out several of the newer cards.
